Christmas bird count

I did the Deboville slough, to Minnekhada farm, Christmas bird count.  Slightly foggy, and -4C, the birds were scarce. The highlight for us was to get to count a belted kingfisher, only 20 species, and 120 birds, not very good.  But after I had completed the route, I met up with one of the other groups doing the count, and continued with them, until almost dusk. Their species count was over 43, and a few thousand birds.
